Join us for the “Spirits of Giving,” Thursday, January 28, 2016.SoG-16The Parson’s Table Restaurant and the Rotary Club of Little River are jointly sponsoring the “Spirits of Giving” fundraiser at the Parsons Table Restaurant on Thursday, January 28, 2016, from 6-9 pm.

The Rotary Club of Little River would like to cordially invite you to attend our 2nd Annual “Spirits of Giving” event. It will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Parson’s Table in Little River, S.C. We will be offering wine, spirits and beer tastings and heavy hors d’oeuvres. There will also be live and silent auctions as well as various raffles throughout the evening.

“That same year, the Rotary Club decided to raise money to vaccinate every child in the Philippines. Inspired by a successful campaign there, the organization decided that it would take on polio worldwide. Other organizations signed on, from government agencies to the World Health Organization, and in a remarkably short period of time, polio’s incidence had been reduced by 99 percent. The last 1 percent is tough, and expensive. For every dollar Rotarians contribute to polio eradication, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation contributes three more.”

Celebrating 12 years of Rotary in Little River

Welcome to the new Rotary Club of Little River website! Rotary International is the world’s first service club organization, chartered over 100 years ago, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. The Rotary Club of Little River was chartered on September 24, 2002.

Club meetings are held each Wednesday at noon at the C. B. Berry Community Center located just off Hwy 17 in Little River. Visitors, guests and prospective members are welcome to attend any meeting. For more information, please email the club at LittleRiverRotary@gmail.com.
